Man-carrying-knife-arrested-eiffel-tower

A man carrying a knife was arrested as he tried to force his way into the Eiffel Tower, the company that runs the Paris landmark said Sunday. The man, who was apparently alone, was “very quickly overpowered and arrested” and nobody was hurt, the statement added. The incident happened at 11:30 pm (2130 GMT) Saturday night, about half an hour before the Tower normally stops admitting visitors. After the arrest, police at the site checked the venue and called for it to be evacuated at around 00:30, 15 minutes before the Eiffel Tower normally closes, the statement added. The would-be intruder was wearing a Paris Saint-Germain football shirt and at the time of the incident the tower was lit up with the team colours of PSG. Tofarati Ige Agege-born rave of the moment, Temitope Adekunle, aka Small Doctor, has denied beating up a motorcyclist. An Instagram user, @The_Nifemi had written, “Lmao…I just witnessed Small Doctor and his crew beat up a Keke Marwa driver opposite Mobil, Akilo Rd., Ogba. It was too interesting to make a video.” However, speaking to  Sunday Scoop  through his manager, Senator, Small Doctor said, “Nothing like that happened. It was just a minor disagreement with someone on the road and we resolved the issue amicably. People just like to blow things out of proportion and create unnecessary controversy. I would never descend so low as to fight with someone on the street. I implore my fans to forget those lies.”

Police confirms killings of worshippers during Sunday mass in Anambra Aug 6, 2017

Awka – The police in Anambra on Sunday confirmed that a gunman killed eight worshippers and injured 18 others in an early morning attack on St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area. The Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar, in Awka said that the remains of the dead had been deposited at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi. Umar also said that the injured were taken to the hospital. He said that preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the attack was carried out by a native of the area. “From our findings, it is very clear that the person who carried the attack must be an indigene of the area. “We gathered that worshippers for 6 o’clock Sunday mass at St. Philip Ozobulu were in the service when a gunman dressed in black attire covering his face with a cap entered the church and moved straight to a particular direction…
