Buhari ministerial list not exciting – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party says the list of ministerial-
nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari, as announced by
the Senate on Tuesday, is not something to rejoice about.
The party said, “By a mere look at the list, one can tell that there
is nothing to be excited about, especially considering the length
of time it took the President to come up with it.”
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, stated the
party’s position in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said, “Looking at the list, it is hard to put a finger on why it
should take any serious-minded and focused government, six
months after its election to assemble such a regular team.”
He said the list and the length of time it took had further
confirmed the fact that the All Progressives Congress-led
administration was driven by propaganda and deceit, a
development, he added, raised doubts on the sincerity of its anti-
corruption crusade.

Hotel owners forum lament multiple taxation By NAN

Image; mabuku The Hotel Owners Forum Abuja (HOFA), has decried the issue of multiple taxation imposed on its members by government. The President of HOFA, Dr Bola Onigbogi made this known at the annual dinner of the forum in Abuja on Friday. She said that because if the visibility of hotel business, it was easy for government agencies to track them down for the enforcement of numerous taxes. “ A quick count of the amount of taxes we pay shows that we pay over 30 different taxes in Abuja. Can anyone survive this onslaught? Can any business survive under this regulatory environment? Anti-Oshiomhole Protesters Storm ICPC, Demand Probe Of APC Chair Over Alleged Corruption

According to Vanguard, tens of protesters on Wednesday, stormed the headquarters of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) in Abuja demanding an investigation into allegations of bribery levelled against the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole during the recently concluded nationwide primary elections of the party. The protesters who were led by Barr. Stanley Onu under the auspices of Coalition for a New Nigeria (CNN) said the protest was in their  “quest to arrest the dangers faced by our party, the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, occasioned by the integrity challenged National Chairman, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole” .
