Biafra: IPOB disowns South-East governors, elders, Ohanaeze

From Emmanuel Uzor, Abakaliki
Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has disowned the
South-East Governors’ Forum, elders and Ohanaeze over
their alleged role in the agitation for the release of the
Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Mr. Emma Powerful, leader of the group said this in a
statement on the heels of a warning from Anthony Nwoko,
an Enugu-based prophet to President Muhammdu Buhari
to desist from truncating the actualisation of a Biafra
state.
Powerful said IPOB rejected South-East Governors’ Forum
and Ohanaeze stance on the continued incarceration of
Kanu and warned the groups to desist from sabotaging the
efforts of IPOB.
He described the groups as “disappointments to Ndigbo
and Biafrans in general,” adding: “They can only be talking
about an unconditional release of Kanu and not try to stop
Biafra peaceful protests,
“We will not stop until our leader is released
unconditionally. Those claiming they are representing
IPOB should desist from it because we don’t know them.
Those calling only Igbo should know that Igbo is a
language in Biafra and we have 11 tribes in Biafra land.”
On his part, Nwoko warned Buhari to expedite Kanu’s
release or “Heaven will strike against his administration…”
Prophet Nwoko further called on the federal government to
desist from killing, terrorizing and intimidating indigenous
People of Biafra, IPOB and the Igbo nation as such action
was inimical to the growth and development of the
country.
He expressed optimism that in 2019, an Igbo man would
emerge as the next President of the country adding that
God has chosen him to alleviate the suffering of the Igbo
race and restore the lost glory of the nation.
“Buhari should release Nnamdi Kanu immediately or face
the wrath of Heaven. Buhari is not spiritually qualified to
lead the nation and he is not the expected Prince of Peace.
He is not the messiah the country is waiting for. He does
not possess the heavenly gift to liberate Nigeria”.
He lambasted the administration of President Buhari for
marginalizing the Igbos especially in the aspect of
appointments, insisting that President Buhari was not the
messiah sent to change the economic misfortunes of
Nigeria and Nigerians.
“The next President of Nigeria will come from the South
East of Nigeria; South Easterners are the light of the
country. Anyone fighting them is in darkness. This
message is for the five Governors of the South East, the
Ohaneze Ndigbo, Igbo politicians among others”.
