Binabo accuses Bayelsa governor of trying to kill him

Bayelsa - A former acting governor of Bayelsa State, Nestor
Binabo, has accused the Bayesla State Governor Seriake
Dickson of trying to take his life, Punch reports.
Binabo, who spoke in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, on
Monday, said Dickson, while addressing Non-Governmental
Organisations inside the Banquet Hall, in the city, publicly
declared that he (Binabo) was his greatest enemy in the
Sagbama Local Government Area.
Binabo handed over power to Dickson in 2012.

The Peoples Democratic Party has however denied Binabo’s
allegation, describing it as callous.
The Director of Publicity, Restoration Campaign Organisation
of the party, Jonathan Obuebite, said that there was no time
Dickson addressed any gathering where he threatened that
“Nestor Binabo was his greatest enemy as alleged.”
Obuebite said any attempt to link the governor to such
allegation was not only wicked but callous political
orchestration, which should be condemned.

Emir of Keffi dies at 70

Keffi - The Emir of Keffi in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammadu Chindo Yamusa II, has passed away. The Galadima of Keffi, Alhaji Abdul Usman, confirmed this on Friday at a news conference in Keffi Local Government Area of the state. The Galadima, who is also the emir’s cousin, said that the late monarch, who took ill briefly, died in the early hours of Friday in his palace in Keffi. He said, “our emir, the promoter of peace and culture died this morning after a brief illness. “His death is heartbreaking, painful but God gives life and takes it at will. “The emir had contributed a lot to the development of not only Keffi, but to the development of Nasarawa State and the entire country while alive.’’ According to him, the late emir was 70 years old and ascended the throne on May 11, 1978. Still in shape with the right curves, she decided to go back to her first love, which is runway modeling.
