Thousands witness Abubakar Audu's burial at Ogbonicha

Ogbonicha - Thousands of supporters and sympathisers on
Monday thronged Ogbonicha, the home town of Prince
Abubakar Audu to witness the burial of the APC Kogi
governorship candidate.
A NAN correspondent who covered the burial reports that the
late politician's supporters could not hold back tears as he
was lowered into the grave at 1.32 p.m.
Audu died on Sunday.

Sheikh Salman Adam, the Chairman of the Kogi Council of
Ulamah, assisted by Chief Imam of Anyigba, Imam Yahaya
Musa, presided over the Islamic burial rites.
A Muslim Scholar, Alhaji Kassim Imam, in a brief funeral
speech, said only God had the right to give or take life as no
human had that right.
He said that Audu's death should not be ascribed to the
making or wishes of any man, saying it was his time to go
back to his creator.
Among those at the funeral were APC National Chairman, John
Odigie-Oyegun, former governors, political associates,
including James Faleke, his Deputy Governorship candidate.
