Army arrests Boko Haram members in Lagos

Lagos - Several Boko Haram members fleeing the battlefield in
the North- East have been arrested in Lagos by the Nigerian
military, reports Sun.
The General Officer Commanding, 81 Division Headquarters,
Major General Isidore Edet, made this disclosure on Monday
evening at the decoration of 12 officers to the ranks of
lieutenant-colonel, colonel and brigadier-general.
Edet said the arrested Boko Haram members were among
those fleeing the battlefield in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe
States and were fleeing down South to continue their nefarious
activities.
He said investigations have commenced into the activities of
each Boko Haram member and that they were undergoing
interrogation to fish out other members of the group.

The Department of State Service (DSS) had on October 24
arrested and charged 45 suspected members of Boko Haram
to a Magistrate Court over an alleged plot to attack Lagos.
The suspected Boko Haram members were accused of
planning to bomb Dolphin Estate in Ikoyi.
