Dickson in the lead as INEC set to declare winner
Yenagoa - Incumbent governor, Seriake Dickson of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) is leading his main opponent, Timipre
Sylva of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Saturday’s
governorship election in Bayelsa.
Reports indicate that Dickson is leading with a wide margin
after results of five local government areas were released on
Sunday night.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is set
to declare the winner on Monday.
Dickson, who won in four out of the five LGA results
announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission
in Yenagoa, polled 81 929 votes as against Sylva’s 56 514
votes, according to Punch .
Below are the results so far announced by INEC at its
headquarters in Bayelsa capital, Yenagoa.
